Plans and subscription
What is free, what a subscription adds, where to check your quota and how to pay.
You can study for free, every day, without a card. A subscription is for when the free plan starts to feel tight: unlimited videos, more lessons and translations, the translator studio and speech recognition for videos with no subtitles. Native voices and your dictionary stay free on every plan.

Where to find the plans
- Open "Sections" in the top menu and pick "Pricing" (on a phone it's the same list behind the burger button).
- At the top there is a Monthly / Annual switch. Flip it to annual and the monthly price drops by 20% — the full yearly total is shown right under the price.
- Below are three cards: Free, Standard (marked as popular) and Max, each with the list of what's included.
The three plans in short
Free — $0, forever. Three videos with a transcript a day, five translator breakdowns a day, one lesson a week, one topic deck a week, one full book plus previews of the rest. The alphabet, your personal dictionary and every dialect voice are never switched off.
Standard — $19 a month (billed yearly: $15 a month, $180 a year). Unlimited videos, 30 AI lessons and 150 generations a month, all books with tap-to-analyze, the studio translating from a photo, and recognition of videos without subtitles (limited).
Max — $29 a month (billed yearly: $23 a month, $276 a year). The same, minus the counters: unlimited lessons and generations, the studio also takes voice and documents, audiobooks, unlimited recognition without subtitles, and early access to new features.
How to subscribe
- On the pricing page press "Choose plan" under Standard or Max (the Free card has a different button — "Start free") — that takes you to "Plan & subscription" in your account. If you are not signed in, the login page opens first — a code by email, no password needed.
- On the international site automatic checkout is not connected yet: the "Choose this plan" button takes you to the school's site and the note under it reads "Payment is being set up. Message us — we'll enable it manually." Write to us and we'll open your plan by hand.
- Where checkout is live (the Russian site), the button is monthly billing and the link under it — "or pay yearly — 20% cheaper" — is the annual option. The payment form opens next; once you pay, you land back in your account with a "Thank you for your payment" banner.
- If the "Current plan" box still shows the old plan, wait a minute and refresh — the confirmation takes a moment to arrive.
Your quota: the Usage panel
Account → "Plan" (in the menu under your avatar — a letter circle or your photo — in the top right). The "Usage" block has four bars:
- Videos — today;
- Lessons — this week (this month on paid plans);
- Translator generations — breakdowns and translations;
- Topic decks — themed word sets.
Next to each name you see "used / limit", and under the bar how many are left. The ∞ sign means your plan has no limit here.
When a quota runs out, a small window pops up — "Free plan limit reached" — with a "See plans" button. Nothing is broken: daily counters (videos, breakdowns) reset tomorrow, weekly ones (lessons, decks) on Monday, monthly ones on the 1st. And if you are not signed in, you'll see "Sign up for free" first instead — signing up costs nothing.
Common questions
Do I have to pay? No. The free plan is enough to study daily: three videos with a transcript, saving words, drilling them in the trainer.
The counter doesn't match what I remember. It is kept in your browser, and each account gets its own basket. Clear your history or switch devices and the numbers start over. Your plan itself is tied to your account and stays put.
Are the school's courses part of the subscription? No, courses are bought separately and live under "My courses". The subscription covers the site itself: videos, translator, lessons, books.
How do I cancel? There is no cancel button on the site yet — write to "Support" in the same account menu and we'll stop the renewal. The period you already paid for runs to its end.
